Pumpkins
« on: July 27, 2005, 19:25:13 »
Hi All
I have only recently discovered the pleassures of gardening, and so far everything is going OK with the exception of my Pumpkin. The plant is big and healthy but the male flowers and female flowers are not opening at the same time so pollination is not happening .Is there anything I can do to get my pumpkin to set fruit
Hope you can help

I think it will happen so you have to be patient  :)    I noticed a little pumpkin of mine which was doing quite well (tennis ball size) dropped off yesterday.  I think it must have been the rain  :)  Done a check today and some have no fruits on at all yet whilst others are much further forward.  I depends on the variety and when they were put in.  Bees etc will pollinate for you so I wouldn't worry  :)
I came, I saw, I composted
