...and enter stage left...
(roll of drums...)
GRASSY NELL!!

and chorus..

"She's late, she's late
Our Grassy Nell,
Wherever has she been?"

Nell: "Oh here and there
and there and here
And all points in between"

"But I'm here now
HURRAH! HURRAH!
And look at what I've brought!
Here's PC Plod (a lovely lad)
And his white Panda car"

(chorus ...hurrah!hurrah! good old Lish..show us yer truncheon, Ploddie. etc.etc.)

"So all you gals can take him
Now my work with him is over,
And I'll seduce the Merry Men -
Tonight I'll be in clover
(leer leer)

Nell looks around to arrange herself fetchingly in the shade of the Mighty Oak...hissed aside.."where's the bl**din' tree gone, then? Last time I'm doin' a Panto with bleedin' amateurs. Didn't he say what pub he was going to? And couldn't someone root him out? Oh, all RIGHT! I'll have to pretend Richard's sunflower with fetching bindweed is the Oak, but let this old pro tell you - it won't fool the audience ...just as well as the audience is a p***ed as the cast...

What are you going to breed with, bb? Well you could try all the Merry Men for starters? Surely ONE of them's got an arrow in his quiver?

You trying to get rid of me Hugh?

I only said i wa thinking about it when Lishka arived. Hoping she might liven things up a bit. Probably wrong there.

Still I could go to bed - nothing growing on that bed in the lottie is there. Thought i might take a female freind for a (tiring) tour of the place

Now i dont want anyone to think i'm being greedy but if Hugh says it will be ok then i'm sure as an upright citizen he must be right, and also must be obeyed.
