I go to Australia frequently (family)

Flight so, so boring, usually stop off Singapore.  Get off plane, go to roof terrace, get hit in face with wet hot  blanket - oh the humidity!!!!

But, it's like in Sydney, public parks, flocks of cookaburras, cockatiels, galaghs

And the Blue Mountains. They are so blue.  Eucalyptus really discharges into atmosphere, like breathing in neat Olbas Oil, and then, going down onto forest floor and there, in front of you, dead poisionous snake!  And the flocks of parrots

So far out

I have very fond memories of Greece ( and I'll admit to the occasional fisherman); otherwise anywhere near the sea . Loved Orkney, fantastic scenery and history. Summers in N.Norfolk, big beaches and big skies.

See what you've started bb; what started as a travelogue could well end up as confessions of a single girl in Greece. Used to frequent a small village on Lesvos ( No quips ,I've heard them all before!).

I haven't really travelled far and wide.  And to be honest, I have never had a duff holiday  :D.  They have all be great in their own ways; skiing in the Rockies, skinny dipping in Corfu, shopping in NYC, scuba diving in Turkey, getting caught in a summer storm on the Troudos mountains in Cyprus, eating oysters in Britanny or lounging with family in Devon, I have loved them all!  Have some wannadoos before I pop off this mortal coil, wanna see the Great Wall, Ayres Rock, Sphinx, leaning tower, Venice, and I would really love to go on a plant hunting expedition in deepest peru...maybe I will find Paddington!  ;D
