insect xmas
« on: December 24, 2003, 22:44:15 »
From the insects in't ground....

Now you've all gone away
it's our turn to go astray
we run around under the earth
it's our equivalent of surf!

We love to burrow day and night
We give the molees such a fright
Though you consider us not where we are laid
You chop us in half with a spade!

We suffer much from schizophrenia
But we never scream out when we are near ya (oooohh desparate rhyme)
We love to play in your earth
It is our home our love our heart

While you're all scoffing pies and turkey
We're all in the earth, a lurkey lurkey... :D
We're the ones who are your friends
You see us clearly through a lens (this is so hard...life through a lens)

Remember that without us
You would be non-starters
Wormers might be slimey an bad
But without us
You wouldn't win any prizes!!!

And neither will I for this pome...but what the ***

Luv to you all and remember worms are your friends, stop eating them  xxxx

Talking of worms did you see the recent programme where a chap grew his owm tapeworm - surely taking goodwill to worms too far; nice in the garden but to give them free bed and board...... :o

Shan't! mm...Shan't! A penshner widder-woman's gotta get her affordable protein wherever she can these days  and, as Ozzie's dun a runna, I'm back to the tried'n true..

"nobody loves me
everybody hates me
I'm going down the garden
to eat the worms

Long thin slimey ones,
big fat fuzzy ones,
gooey, gooey, gooey, gooey
worms!

The long thing slimey ones
slip down easily
But the BIG FAT FUZZY ones
stick..

So...

I cuts off their 'eads
an I cuts off their tails
an take the fuzzy wuzzy parts away

An nobody knows how I survive
On a hundred worms a day!"

Why else was I so interested in making the Wormery next year, do you think?

Actually, tho, worms were my very first 'pets' and I always had one in a pocket...what a horrible child I must have been :o ;D - Lish

Anyone familar with Song of the Worms by Margaret Atwood?

"there will be no more boots.
Meanwhile we eat dirt
and sleep; we are waiting
under your feet.
When we say Attack
you will hear nothing
at first..."

Now that's scarey .........

Can anyone else fill in rest of poem?

Who? Moi?

Never dream of such a thing. I NEVER miss the point and know when to either shut up or not open it in the first place. Unlike some people I could mention......... ;D

Hi Raggedrobin, I saw that programme, it was gross!  Especially when he laid it out in his garden and measured his height against it!!!  :o
