cookout photo
« on: July 16, 2005, 09:05:19 »
At last a pic of my new "cooker".  Cooked dinner on the plot the other Sunday.
Simmering away is a pan of spuds with a spring of mint and in the frying pan I have two lamb steaks, green and red peppers, courgette, tomatoes and onions.

It went down well with a can of lager
I came, I saw, I composted

that looks wonderful Wardy and I bet you enjoyed it but I'm wondering how having a barb-b-q fits in with the rules of your lottie site and having other fires i.e. bonfires (I realise there's a difference but it's still a fire).......unless of course you had your barbie after the time a fire is allowed......do you just throw water over it before you go home to make sure it's out.....

I'm sure they wouldn't allow barbie's on my site  :(

Mmmmmm   mmmmm! I'll have a bit of everything 'cept the lamb!

I look forward to doing something similar on my lottie Wardy. It looks like fun.  Was there yesterday and the tool I could most do with is a machete!

What was your dog up to whilst you were cooking?

Oh I've only just seen your first cookout post. CONGRATULATIONS on your award. You must be as  chuffed as a really chuffed thing!

My cooker is a kettle barbeque which has lost its legs (they never were much use anyway) and just sits on a couple of bricks. I like the versatility, I roasted a couple of chickens in it the other day, and you can't do that on an open fire.
