Modem speed - is that what they call it?

We're strictly in the backwoods, insofar as PC stuff is concerned, but thought this might be of interest.

Thought our speed, at 38kbps was pretty poor - asked  BT if they could put it up a notch - so it's now 42.6kbps.
Not Formula 1 stuff, but nice to know that someone is listening? = Tim

And there was I thinking if it was worth jumping up to 1mb from 500kbs on cable ?

Hmmmm, .........just a bit jealous.........us........

EJ and I have been sharing a 28.8kb connection for some while........

.......just had a line splitter taken off the line (had two numbers in the house)........that has sped it up.......
.........and found out that the line splitter was what was preventing us from having broadband.....(nice of them to tell us)...............we are ADSL enabled as of today.....

........just got to get an ADSL modem now...... ::)

Ava, I have 2 computers running Broadband, with a router.......don't ask how or anything as a mate gave it to me!!
