second hand greenhouse question
« on: June 14, 2005, 10:15:27 »
i'm hoping to win a second hand glasshouse on ebay, its on slabs at the moment. never having owned a glasshouse smaller than commercial grower sized i don't know how they are supposed to be anchored if at all? its a 6x8, does it need foundations or is it meant to just sit on slabs?

i hope i get it, i'm so excited! (i really need to get out more)

It is very windy where my garden is  Legless, so we have built a small wall about 2 bricks high and then bolted the base onto this.  Think other half used 'coach bolts' if this is any help.  I suppose that it depends what it is like where your greenhouse is going to be sited.

:) Better luck next time  :( I never place a bid until auction nearly ending but it doesn't always work  :( You can buy a base for mounting your greenhouse on. It's really easy you just need one bag of ready mix for the corners & away you go   ;D Oh level the ground first  ;D ;D Any where that sells g/houses usually keeps them or internet  ;D
