Herb Disorders
« on: June 07, 2005, 11:54:17 »
I have a number of sage plants in pots - what I thought was powdery mildew has now turned into yellowing/browing of leaves - I've been doing some research and the closest thing I could find as the culprit are foliar nematodes... Has anyone had these? If so, if I remove the infected leaves and cut the plants back hard, can they recuperate or is this the sort of thing where you must distroy the plants? My lemon balm which had been thriving also had a spot of powerdery mildew, but now has a series of brown spots on the leaves which I thing are either rust or mite damage - I don't know which. I cut the entire plant right down today - I'm wondering if some new compost and dividing might also help bring it back healthier? many thanks for the help!  :D
