I often browse the amazon lightning deals for bargains. This little heat mat came up for a fiver. Cheaper than a small lightbulb to run and will fit on my conservatory window sills. Just enough to warm a couple of half size seed trays to start the toms and peppers. I'll let you know if it is worth the fiver, it's only a pint wasted if it isn't.

I went to check my potatoes that I had saved from my summer crop, they were in a dark cool place,,OK two weeks ago but today they have 9inch long shoots on them..is there anything I can do.. I could plant them in a raised bed in my greenhouse but would rather not,, maybe in big pots in the greenhouse..may be too cold, it is very thick glass, but I could wrap the pots and lift them off the floor.. what if I took the shoots off, would they grow more..Help if you can as I have no idea in December

Bad enough when they gave the licence free. Now they want me to pay for this rubbish. Not that I watched it as I cannot stand the compere that squeaks like a little girl when he pretends to be excited.  I read that yesterdays celebrities end of the pier has beens could not answer the questions, surely they could have given Tony Blackburn an intelligence  test before they wheeled him out of the institution. I hope they did not pay them out of the tax payers pocket.
