I am new to allotments, have just planted out peas, corn, cauli's, gherkins, cabbage lettuce. now the green house is empty, what should I be sowing now??? ???
You can plant lots of stuff direct now, straight in the plot that is.
Carrots and parsnips spring to mind. :)
Have you started any courgettes or pumkins? ;D
French & Runner beans, kale, swede, chicory, endive, pak choi....
This just will not do-an empty greenhouse???-why is it not bursting at the seams with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, aubergines etc??
Just teasing,to sow now-pretty much anything and think about herbs, dill, fennel, coriander etc.
Stephan
I'm lucky as i have two greenhouses, one is full of toms, peppers and cucumber etc, the other one that had all my seedling etc in waiting to go out now seems empty, should i be sowing anything for winter crops / when should i start sowing to get an early start for next year.
We only started on the lottie in April so have lots to learn???
This week I'll be sowing Swede, Romanesco Broccoli & Lettuce in the greenhouse and Fennel outside
I'vejust planted out my climbing French beans. Pumpkins to go in next, then sweet corn.
spring onions, spinach, more peas (do mange-tout and sugar-snap), red cabbages, broccoli, squashes.
Excellent, Thanks for all the suggestions, i'm away to get seeds etc :)
