Trouble is it's seeding all over the lawn. It's got to come out. But it looks so nice!

Totally agree - but the g'children expect a 'Lords' wicket for their cricket - not a roadside!!

Some visitors from 'some other country' saw it in the hedgerows & asked if they could buy it. Maybe we could set up in business??

If you leave it, it attracts hoverflies, and it looks nice as well. You can keep it out of the lawn by mowing; it doesn't like that. Not many things do.

Kill it, and any other tough weed by placing an old plastic pop bottle with it's base cut off to make a funnel shape over the stump of the offending weed after tearing it's head off (this technique is recommended for stress relief). Then fixing in place with a tent peg type anchor made from an old coat hanger, the plant will grow like stink into it's new mini greenhouse! but you will get your revenge when you spray roundup into the pop bottle which will protect other plants next door from spray drift. I use this technique all the time to spot weed in borders, and it works a treat. The bottle can be placed base down if the space permits, or narrow end down if it's in a tight spot, you can cut the bottle to suit the weed too. Some weeds may take a couple of doses, but always rip there heads off first, It's satisfying, and makes the weed grow new lush leaves that easily absorb the roundup.

That's such a clever tip, Brian, and yet so simple! Why have I never thought of that?!  :P  I've always been worried about using weed killer and such, but I think I might have to give it a go.....
That's what I love about this site, so much to learn from!  ;D

Thanks for that tip Gardenantics .It's just what I need to despatch my neighbours weeds coming under the fence. :)
