Oh Emma, you are wishing for rain and I am wanting to see some Sun. You know that big yellow blob in the sky. We had some sun today but that blooming wind was blowing as usual. I see the River Tweed was in flood so we have had enough rain this week. We are never happy are we? Tomorrow the forecast is for rain, rain and more rain to last through till Saturday anyway plus wind wind wind.Â
:'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
Oh Carol (ooo I have come over all Neil Sedaka!), my sympathise! The sun has been shining all day here, so much so, I have a glowing chest from the walk to and from school :o. Kids have been out in the paddling pool and under the sprinkler, and still the garden is dry! You send me some rain, I'll send you the sunshine!

Thanks for the Sun Emma. Hopefully good weather will pick up soon. Probably next week when I am oop the Highlands in our caravan. We hope the weather is good then. We live in hope. I will blow and blow the rain down to you tomorrow, is that a deal!!!
::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Excuse the moans, but going to moan anyways but this pesky wind is really getting to me. Our bedding plants are outside waiting to go in and the d**n gale picked them up and scattered them all over the garden. We have Verbena hanging from the bushes. Oh dear, I think we will come south to live, either that or build a 20ft high wall round us.
:( :( :( :(
It has been very windy here in Oxfordshire today. I'm sorry but I couldn't help but laugh about Verbena hanging from the bushes. Sorry I know it's not so funny for you.
MM
It's been really windy in Leeds as well :o
The poor Rowan at the end of our garden was almost bent in half :(
Incredibly sunny again on Saturday in our part of Essex, but a warm wind was a blowing and I didn't realise how burnt my shoulders were getting! I creamed the kids up, but neglected me! tch!
Today has been warm, but overcast and it actually rained for all of 3 minutes! Just as the ground became damp...it stopped and dried again. Sorry about the naff weather, but it has been great washing drying days! ;D
After gale force winds yesterday it turned out lovely today, so ive been playing out in my garden all day ;D
Planted out my sweetcorn and spring onions.
Worked on one of my borders that needed improvement so dug up my azeala that wasnt looking too great and potted it up, then seperated my irises and spread them around the garden.
I had bought some hollyhocks and red hot pokers yesterday and put them into my newly dug over space.
Then filled everywhere with bedding plants and planted up yet another couple of baskets and more pots.
All done now and all looking pretty.
Hope the weather stays nice for tomorrow as its the town festival :)
Wall to wall sunshine in Bedfordshire for the biggest 1 day carnival in the UK, fantastic growing weather all weekend and all the predictions were a mile off, even Metcheck is still telling me it's raining............. I beg to differ
It's raining, it's pouring! Or at least it was at the crack of dawn today. How pleased am I !?! Waterbutt is filled, the garden is looking lush and is glistening. I bet the allotment is smiling with delight and my spuds will be putting on a growth spurt, along with the weeds! Once the rain subsided, it was a wonderful afternoon. ;D
