My Grandson found this in our garden and wanted to take it home...glad I let him...read on :o

had one of them in my hair yesterday evening was horrible the kids were freaking and would not get it out as it was in the back of my hair i had to get it out my self not to clever with bugs, at least i know what it was and best of all it was harmless

Aw my gawd!  One of them beasties in your hair  :o :o  Were you brave?  I wouldn't have been  ;D

Roy  I was digging (yes me, first time on the plot since bad back) and found lots of grubs in the soil.  Hope it wasn't those things you refer to.  They were quite big - about an inch and cream colour.  Any ideas?

sounds just like cockchafer larvae...

squish them. They devastate potatoes.

....and all other roots. They're found usually on land that's being newly cultivated. Put them in your sarnie or squash 'em.

:o My grandson put this beetle in with  his sisters prize sunflower :o I told his Mum to take it out quick and put it in a sarnie or Squish it? or was that squash it? ;D
