Hi Rosebud. I'm in Hockley so quite a distance. I have been thinking that I've been hearing ducks flying over for some time now. At least this proves that I'm NOT going mad!

Awww cute! Great pic!
There's a pair of ducks that tend to wander around our car park at work. They're like an old married couple - one minute they're nuzzling and cuddling, the next they're picking at each other! They always make me smile!  :)

We get ducks sitting on roofs too, and I was really surprised the first time I saw one, especially since their feet don't exactly look suitable for perching.  I once saw 3 ducks sitting on top of a chimney, no idea how they managed that!

Yesterday, my husband saw a Mallard with six chicks in the middle of our road. Two ladies were keeping their eyes on them.
One had phoned the RSPCA, who had said there was nothing they could do about it.
The other was just going off to ring the local Ecology Park to ask their advice.

Great - a neighbour has a pond in the village and we get them flashing over every morning. And then sitting on a nearby roof.
