Title: Sunny day out...
Post by: Derek on May 25, 2005, 18:56:40
Hey

I could get use to this 'life of Riley' lark...an allotment colleague played chauffeur to me today and we visited the HDRA Centre at Ryton, Near Rugby

It was a cloudy start but turned warm and sunny later in the morning, shirt sleeve weather to be sure.

I have visited Ryton several times but it was Ray's first visit. I always come away full of enthusiasm and have once again picked up some different ideas to try ..the Restaurants not bad either  ;)

Question:
Why don't the pigeons attack their Brassicas?  Some were netted but an awful lot weren't...they wouldn't have lasted five minutes on my lottie

I have always wanted to visit Ryton.  I guess I will do, one day.  Especially if it has a nice little Cafe.

Betty's Cafe has recently opened at Harlow Carr Gardens in Harrogate.  I can recommend the Gardens and the Cafe.  Lovely tea in lovely cups.

Hi Lily

Betty's is nice...I remember visiting there place in Harrogate some years ago before our girls were married.  There was so much choice for every single item on the menu we had to laugh

Ryton Organic Centre has a coffee shop 'and' an excellent restaurant..  well worth a visit

I keep passing Audley End which is their other place down South, unfortunately I forget its there and don't leave sufficient time to stop off....one day!
