Post by: RSJK on May 22, 2005, 18:52:52
Hello all,
A question for you all about Rhubarb, is it a fruit or is it a vegetable.

It does not satisfy the definition for fruit - i.e. carrying seeds so therefore it is a vegetable.

It's technically a vegetable but it's often treated as though it was a fruit, doubtless because it's used for pudding, which is more of a fruit 'thing'.

rhubarb be a vegetable - as you are noit eating the 'fruit' part of the plant (has anyone ever seen the fruit of a rhubarb?)

knowledge: knowing that a tomato is a fruit
wisdom: knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.
