Blimey, a veritable carpet and so pretty.  :)

I only have five  - each one in a pot - but couldn't resist snapping this bloom today.

Aww, thanks Greenwizard.  Your pics are always so sharp but I can always fall back on not having a tripod, the weather being unseasonably windy and having one too many glasses of wine last night! ;)

Georgie,
Snap! That's exactly the same type as I've got in my garden - just coming into bloom now.

Georgie - I meant that yours is an upper class flower, like Aquilegia (to whom my first post was directed) grows. Whereas ours are just common or garden self-sown.

And I see that I must include Jerry now, with his masterpieces!

Couldn't resist taking another snap today.  I'm totally smitten by these gorgeous flowers and I  think I'm just going to have to sow more of them.   :)

Hi all.  Hope you don't mind me adding mine to this post.  Just walked around the garden and found it.  Just had to take a photo.  It is a beautiful delicate colour and you can see the veins in the petals.

Oh I'm in heaven!

All gorgeous!

Tim - amazing spread of them you have there. And there's nothing wrong with the vulgaris - I love them too!

Foxy - do you know what variety that is? it's lovely.

Georgie - I have some like that too. Stunning. I'm trying to work out which variety it is. (I have so many, I've forgotten!)

MUST get some pictures of my own before something eats them!

Hi Aqui.  Mine are McKenna Hybrids.  Is it time we all set up a seed swap?

Sorry I have been a long time replying:-

I think mine is a McKana Giant mixed.  I bought it from a plant fair last year.  It was in a pot and stood 3ft high.  However, it isn't that tall this year - about 2ft. Does anyone know if they come true to seed.  I would like a few more around the garden.

FG - aquilegias only come true from seed if you've hand pollinated and isolated the flower. The cross breed rampantly and you could end up with something interesting and bizarre.

I let mine self seed and then remove the less interesting plants.
