my tomatoes and sweetcorn and cucumbers are spending their nights in a plastic growhouse and the days outside in my sheltered yard near the sea.
how high do the night temperatures have to be for me to leave the tomatoes and sweetcorn out overnight safely? the nights seem quite warm this week (6-8 degrees C) and there isn't any wind in the yard...
can i put squashes with one true leaf out in the growhouse or are they too small?
thanks in advance, i'm so proud of my little plants i'd hate to kill em now!
I would only trust the last week in may and then I would be a little carefull. You can never trust the weather. I would plant out as I live in the north midlands in the middle of june then you could say that the chances of a frost are virtually zero. (But You never can tell!)

thanks.
i am aiming to plant out the first week in june, most people on the site already have their runner beans and sweetcorn out, i think because we are by the sea we get less frosts..

I think it is the coincidence between the chance and the freezing point of water.
Just in case you missed it - please don't hit me if I am being condescending and patronising.
