Title: Brought some lovely tomatos.....
Post by: gunnerbee on May 18, 2005, 17:47:05
from the co-op the other day, they were a real lovely taste, me and the kids gobbled them up quick!!!! They were from spain and they looked like the Marmande variety??? they were a bit bigger than golf ball size, tasted just like homegrowns!!! i got so exited that i saved some of the tiny seeds inside on some paper, What puzzles me now as i have the seeds infront of me is that the seeds look like so tiny and flat like they are empty!!!! i know this sounds silly and its hard to explain it from here, some are more bumpier on the paper than the others, im going to plant them anyway and see what happens.

Nothing ventured - nothing gained.  Go ahead, there's nowt to lose.  After all the seed is free.  You can dry them off on kitchen paper and then just peel the paper off with the seeds on and plant the seed with the bit of kitchen paper attached.  It just makes them easier to handle.  Good luck.   :)
