Title: Comfrey root
Post by: Viks on May 17, 2005, 13:05:29
I planted some comfrey root three to four weeks ago.
How long is it before it starts to come up to the surface?
What does it look like when it first pokes its head out of the ground?

Thanks

Viks it shouldn't be long - unless it's hiding from the frost. And assuming you planted them with the top level with the surface, otherwise yopu have to allow tunnelling time.

It produces a little leafy shoot thing. I'll take some pics and post them here

Phil,
This is nothing to do with comfrey but how do you post photos? I tried yesterday but without success!

Sprout,

They have first to be posted on the internet and then you type in the URL of the location then select the little picture icon (second from left on second row when creating a reply)

Sprout.  To post pics you're supposed to pay Dan the Man by using the pay pal donate button on the top right of the screen.  He will then activate your pic posting facility  :)
