For putting in a seed order with ogc last night - various salad seed thingies (as well as nemaslug)
bad MV.
There - how's that for a telling off?!
Do you have any room left? I'm already trying to work out where I can squeeze one more plant in. And secretly hoping a few won't make it so I have more room for other things!
You beast! How could you!! ;D
I think I need telling off again! Popped into Woolworths and well, they have reduced the veggie seeds - I only got 2 packets of Bunyards Exhibition broad bean, which according to the packet, I can still sow in May, as well as in the autumn. I was wanting autumn sowing beans anyway - now I don't have to rush seed orders in the autumn from the seed catalogues (probably ogc, tuckers, and maybe T&M).
keep me away from woolies...
Naughty naughty MV there thats told you. Now go back and get something else.
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Hey - another plantaholic WEYHEY!!!!!!! ;D
I nearly bought a clematis for £2.99, ..... they looked a bit straggly.
I went mad tonight and bought 8 packets of seeds from lidl. 2 x yellow bean, kohl rabi (will be after tips soon), chard, chinese leaf, cucumber and two others that I can't remember right now but obviously needed at the time. 29p each pack ! Woohoo what a snip. OH was not impressed. Doesnt understand these things.
Baggy My 29 p Lidl french marigolds are the best looking plants from seed I've grown. I sowed two trays and there are loads of seeds left in the packet :)
Multiveg Someone has given me some Bunyard's Exhibition plants and they look very good and strong. Good luck with yours :)
The other two were white early cabbage and meteor peas. Me likes a bargain. They also had melon and pumpkin seeds but OH was dragging me screaming from the shop.
Where did you see the Clem for £2.99 Multi?...I'm sure I can squeeze another one in, although the garden has taken off and not much room...Oh I'll just move leaves and things out the way, there must be a bit of ground down there..
It was in Woollies for £2.99, however, last night, did a Morrisons shop when they were only £1.69? So we got 2 - said to hubby - which one of these two should we get? He said get them both!
I bought two a couple of weeks ago and they are going strong. Well worth £3.40 when my local nusrery wanted at least £4 each!!
Well I haven't seen any that cheap, but I'll keep looking when on my travels.
you know how we all think the onion sets should've been in aaaaaaaaaaaages ago?
well..i found a bag of 'em in me seed basket and it said-sowmay/june.....and the weathers so c**p at the moment i bunged 'em in!
well...how do the sets know what month it is?
Don't worry about squeezing in another plant. I've filled all available space around the edge of my back yard & have now started going up the house walls, garden fence & garage. Why look at brick when a nice trailing lobelia or petunia is soooooooo much more interesting. Mixed trailing fuschias hide old wooden fence panels.
Every time my parents visit my mum grumbles that she can't move because there's "another bloody triffid" in the way. The best part is watching the dog sidle across the yard & eying up all the plants in case one of them decides to attack him!!!
Give it a month or two & the yard will transformed into a riot of colour and perfumes & I'll be the envy of all my neighbours

Multiveg don't go on eBay and when you get there don't type in vegetable seed on the search thingy or your credit card will do a runner.

DORIS PINKS!!!!!

and so on - www.seedsupply.co.uk has ceased trading and seeds are being auctioned off on ebay...
I am not bidding...
I shall keep well away and give my husband my credit cards to put in a safe place, oh and he'll probably take the plug of the computer.
Have been a bit naughty though already and ordered some more seeds yesterday. I typed that very quickly to get it over with! I've said it now and no going back. I just had to have some more Marina seeds and whilst I was at it I thought it only wise to buy some other much needed stuff (well sort of ;D) Look I really do need more cabbage seed ok ;D And I desparately needed some more cauli seed as I only have about 10 varieties already. This is me who has no part of my lotty dug yet ;D ;D Better get a move on methinks :)
is this the relaaaaaxing lotie where you can spend time to chill and theres no rush to do anything....
;)methinks you have caught the bug! ;D
I prefer my virtual lotty on A4A - I am enjoying myself on it now with my refreshing glass of Stella (large natch) ;D I'm supposed to be ironing my bedding for my B & B as I have punters but I can't be bothered and it's too cold to be on the real plot ;D
