Are these the cornflower thingies ?  What is their orret name or is it 'cornflower thingy' ?

centaurea montana~cornflower.
they grow like weeds in my back~garden. i don't mind though because the bees love them :)

I have some of that too. It's already grown loads! I rather like the weird flowers and it's a native, so I'll keep it. If nothing else, it'll keep my compost heap fuelled!

Marianne when mine produce the seeds i shall send you some ,they are about to flower i would say a week from now , would you likesome. ;D
