Not great, photographer I am not! This is from the far sundrenched end of plot number one. Behind me is a hedge of plum trees which are slowely being cut down. Directly in front are the beans...and so on down to the 2 apple trees. It is all looking very green. Piccy 2 is across the plot, looking over my globe artichokes. Piccy 3 is from about the apple trees looking back up my plot towards the plum hedge.
Next piccy is from my shed looking up the plot. This is a shadey area so is still looking less than green. My salads are in beds here.
looking good. i am gorwing a lot of bare earth at the moment :( but that will hopefully change this weekend as i am planning a marathon planting spree :D
Are you sure you didn't take those photos last summer? Already looks so verdent.
So far I am growing canes, chicken poo, a few stones and the odd bit of cat poo. Oh and a few teeny tiny seedlings.

It's amazing the difference a few hundred miles makes to how far in front of us you can get EJ.Still getting frost here and i heard snow mentioned for next week, further up than Yorkshire i'm pleased to say

Fantastic EmmaJ! That looks so lush and fertile. You are much further ahead than we are up here. Our beds look empty in comparison. One or two potato leaves coming up, Onions and garlic looking good, a couple of stray leeks left from last year and a bountiful array of rhubarb is all we have on show. Got a nursery bed of cabbages and have planted parsnips and beetroot seeds today, but that is it. All our other plants are at home waiting for better weather. :) busy_lizzie
Hi busy_lizzie - My beds too! My small back garden is much more sheltered than the lottie, so the new herb bed is filling out nicely, and the new gooseberry and blackberry bushes show signs of life - window sills pretty full of waiting beans though!! I've been brave and put my basil seedlings out, as I'm so sheltered, they're in a raised bed which is small enough for me to cover with a huge umbrella cloche.
Am feeling a bit frustrated as I know the few really warm days we've had this week are only trying to lull me into a false sense of security!!!
Thanks everyone. I do have a problem with drought, having no onsite plumbed water. I do collect rain water, but only for watering seed drills before sowing, and watering in plantlets. Once they are in the ground, I fear they have to fend for themselves. There is not enough water to water the plants again as the ditch dries up to a muddy trickly in June and doesn't flow again until December! Loads and loads of organic matter has been dug in to try and help moisture retention, and I try to use the shade of big plants to keep the quick to bolt and salad plants cooler. :)
