hornet.
For those that might not have wandered by the wildlife forum, look what I had setting up residence in my shed on the plot!
They are also here in Herts ! :o
Came back from home to find one buzzing around in the kitchen and one of the dogs was very interested and too close for comfort !
Hubby grabbed a glass - caught it and dispatched it outside !
:o ;)
eeek.
Thanks for the warning!
So let's get this right. You had all these 50 pence coins in your shed ......... We'll arrange to come round and take them off your hands!
;D
I am attempting to grow money trees you see philandjan. Well, needs must! ;D Unfortunately, my darling Ava captured the monster and brought it home in a jar to photograph! aaaaggghhhhh
MMMmmmmm...lovely picy of a hornet!! But why grow 50p trees? Bung a few 2 pound coins in....maximise profits? LOL... ;D
Only ever seen hornets once in my garden, In that long hot summer in 2003. There were loads, feasting on the nectar of a hebe.
Not sure if I want them permanently in residence though. Wasps are bad enough. :(
Hmmm...............let another one of these out of our shed at home this afternoon........... :-\
......hope this is not the beginning of a plague of them....... :(
better than locusts though Ava! ;)
We have had about 10 of them inside our kitchen ! They are attracted by the Ena harkness roses over the arch. The smell is so very strong !! :o ::) ;D
They are enormous !!!!!!!!!! :o :o :o
