Just a few pics from the home veg garden, not the allotment.

Autumn bliss looking very good next to the bed that will hold the pumpkins, ½ tonne of horse manure on there since Jan.

Will try to add allotment ones later this weekend.

Enjoyed your pics Sanders.
Just having a laugh with my other half about the horse manure for the pumpkin patch.
Last year as a novice pumpkin grower, i used the stick 'em in and cross your fingers method :)
Worked for me ;D
Very envious, Jerry!
Wow Jerry ! It's as big as a football pitch ! :o ::)
Nice land there- very organised, how i envy you :o! No garden myself and the lotments a mess ::)
very well organised and very tidy
You could fit my whole house *and* the allotment in there!
What's all this about pumpkins and manure? I've just put some seeds in as I'm hoping to use them as a way to involve my nine year old. Are they greedy? (The pumpkins that is - I know 9 year olds are :) )

Lucky you Jerry!
How big's your garden?
Mine's about the size of one of your beds.
(anyone fancy doing a garden swap?!)
The actual garden is not that large. Where I have the vegetable plots at home is on ground we don't own sadly, but have complete freedom to do what we want within reason from the owners who do not live locally.
The garden used to be attched to a large house. The old couple who lived there passed away a number of years ago and their kids inherited it. They divided the garden and sold the house with about 6 acres, the rest, about 8 acres, they retained. That is where we grow veg and keep the hens. We have been using it for over 8 years now as they continually fail to get planning consent.
The main reason for taking an allotment as well was to ensure we had enough ground being gardened to keep us fed if we had to vacate the veg garden at home as one day I am sure they will get planning consent.
Still at the moment it is a huge bonus.
