Hello, how long until we will be eating our Tomatos. Still on the windowsill at the mo [frost forecast again] say i put them in greenhouse end of May.
Don't understand - if they are going into a greenhouse, why are they still indoors? I know that I keep saying 'don't rush things', but mine go out any time from mid-April to end-May, risking setback through frost, & produce their first anywhere between early June and mid-July.
Cherries are early, beefsteak take the longest.
Despite all that, mine are still in the lean-to, which is warmer than the big one, because they just haven't made a decent enough root ball to go into their final positions.
Not in greenhouse yet, frosts still forecast this week. I don't want to risk it.
Yes - I was just putting my runners out when I read that!
But if you want to risk a few toms, fleece them & they'll be fine.
