Title: Proof at last!!
Post by: tim on May 07, 2005, 09:47:40
We've long suspected tree rats. Quite dangerous holes all over - even in daughter's brand new lawn next door - where they think they put food in the old lawn!! Clever?

Oh Tim,
You have to train them. 8)
if you feed them summer and winter they dont dig holes  ;)
Got mine trained and the darn cats moved in and no more fluffy friends :'(
oh well thats life in the garden.

The dreaded "tree rats" have planted me over 100 sunflowers to date...also appear to be growing a nice selection of peanuts despite the fact that there is food out for them all year round...little blighters!

At about this time of year we get walnut and plum seedlings sprouting all over the lawns,  flower beds and veggie patch.

D****d squirrels >:(

Mrs C loves watching them:  I think she feeds them when I'm not around.

My dad used to get 10/- for every grey tail he handed in to the government,  but it didn't help the red ones.
