Hi all,
I've not been here for a while as I've had to give up my allotment almost as quickly as i started. Found my partner had cancer and the progression was exceedingly rapid. So much so, he passed away recently.
Allotment too much on own - as well as losing the inclination for a while. Will stick to container/small garden growing this year and see how things go, so may be back soon for thoughts and advice.
Speak soon
Oh no Dawn! I am so incredibly sorry! I don't know what else to say. Please accept our deepest sympathies and our most genuine caring thoughts!
Whenever you want to post and moan and pregnant dog and shout, come by and do so here, you know you are amongst friends.
With all of our love,
Emma and Mark
This is so sad and words fail me too, I am sending a comforting hug and hope it makes you feel a little better, time will heal that I am sure of.
Please don't be long coming back as you have lots of friends here.
Deepest sympathy.
Roy
Oh Dawn how very sad. I'm very sorry for you - it's hard to know what to say. It doesn't matter that you don't have an allotment - your garden can mean just as much and you can still plant it together if you know what I mean. I planted a rose to remind me of my MIL Marjorie and I always talk to her - not in a maudlin way - quite the reverse :)
I'm so very sorry :(
Oh Dawn what can i say, so very very sorry to hear of your loss i send you hugs and sympathy.  :(  please come and visit we are all here to help you along with whatever you want to talk about. Love & hugs Love  Mary.
Dawn, Like every one  else has said, I am so sorry to hear your very sad news.  Please accept my condolences and sympathy. It is understandable that you have no inclination to do anything at the moment.  It is a time for taking care of yourself now and having time to grieve.  As EJ, Roy and Mary have said please come back when you feel like it and know you are amongst friends.  When the time is right go back to your garden.  It can be a very healing and comforting thing to do, to see seeds growing and new life emerging under your care. For now just look after yourself . I hope you have people around you who are giving you love and support.  love, busy_lizzie Â
Dawn I am at a loss as to what to type. Just to let you know my thoughts are with you, give yourself the time you need to start to heal yourself, gardening I have found over the years helps. ( I had a weed free garden for years!) So sad to hear why you haven't been around much, DP
Lean on us & keep chatting?
Dawn, so very, very sorry to hear your news.
I don't know what else to say, but I hope we keep hearing from you.
Dawn, such a sad and difficult time for you, we are all here for you and keep in touch. Â We will all be thinking of you and sending our cyber hugs to you. Â Just come on line and talk to us, or just read our posts, whenever you feel like it, you don't need your allotment to come on here, many people don't have one, but stay part of our family it's such a lovely place to be. Â I have always found gardening to be my saviour when things are down and I know my Mum immersed herself in the garden when my Dad died. Â I don't know what else to write but just want to offer my thoughts and support to you at this time. Â Take care, we are all thinking of you.
Dear Dawn, I am so sorry to hear of your tragic news. :'(
What a terrible time it will be for you right now.
After i lost both of my parents i found such comfort and solace working away in the garden, it brought me such peace and i believe it was the gardening that gave me the strength to cope with my grief.
Still, one step at a time for you. Thinking of you and sending you strength :-*
Dawn, I know it's a difficult time but don't lose courage.
   Memories grow more precious
   When loved ones must part,
   But remain forever growing
In the garden of your heart.
My thoughts are with you
hello Dawn
i am so very sorry to hear your news- i cannot say more, everyone has already voiced my thoughts.

(http://www.papyrusonline.com/etiquette/correspondence/images/condolence_main.jpg) My best wishes to you, Dawn. So sorry to hear of your loss. As Tim says, lean on and stay with us.Â
*hugs dawn tight
Dawn i am so sorry to hear of your trouble news, it is hard to no what to say , but as everyone has already said u are amongst friends , u just take care and look after yourself god bless
Thanks for your kind thoughts and messages. My partner has a natural burial in a field (green burial ground) adjacent to a bluebell wood, which, with the fullness of time and planting of new trees, will merge into the mature bluebell wood. I've just heard they will plant an oak near his grave for me which he grew from an acorn years ago.
It's going to take some time, but kind thoughts such as yours help me and give strength. I will be back here time to time, and increasingly so.
Dawn Just read your post and don't really know what to say to comfort you in your loss. I'm so very sorry and all I can add is what's already been said and that we'll be here for you to offload your thoughts on
:)
