Title: Lovely Essex
Post by: Mrs Ava on May 04, 2005, 00:18:44
Just a ramble really.....

Sunday early evening, off we set to take number one step daughter back home to Braintree.  It was a glorious evening, a wonderful rich sky.  As I looked out over the fields I said, it is evenings like this you see hot air balloons drifting by, and sure enough, on the horizon, there it was!  Beautiful.  Now I felt very summery.

We dropped our birthday girl off home (10 on Monday!) and Ava decided to drive home avoiding the A12, so through the lanes we travelled, admiring peoples gardens and enjoying listening to the kids in the back chattering and laughing.  As I gazed I thought to myself, 'tis evenings like this you might see a deer or 2' and what do you know, as we turned the next corner, a muntjak sitting in the hedgerow having supper!  Ava slowed and we got a good look at him, very close up.  They are gorgeous little things - so lean and muscular.

Love living in Essex!

What a magical evening EJ.  These jewels remain with you for ever, when just  for one moment in time the world is perfect.  :) busy_lizzie

Emma, you had us all going there for a minute - you should try creative writng!  :)
But I too live in Essex - in Witham, and I thought the Sunday evening sky was gorgeous too - tried to take a pic but it did not really come out too well.

You were lucky to see a live munjak Emma Jane, in this part of the world (Herts), there are so many dead ones on the road at this time of year!  The young leave their parents, come out of the woods onto the roads and ......

Now Heritage  >:(  I will have you know I am not an Essex girl, but a South London/Surrey/Devon cross breed!

Anyhow, it was the clunking of my white stilettos that made him scarper! ;D
