what lovely pictures , and such a gorgeous dog
:) Every picture tells a story :) Sad but lovely :-* Cavaliers (although I did not now until I owned one) are such loyal and affectionate dogs. I can almost (only almost) understand why some peeps have more feelings toward some pets than humans. :-*
Sad but true ;)
Lovely pictures to cherish :)
What gorgeous piccy's, can't beat the joy of relaxing with your dog. I love cavaliers - sooo pretty,
Had 2 Shar Pei`s but dead now,so sad. They were great loving dogs called Herbie & BooBoo :D
Alas it was just pre-digi camera!
But then again! Digi camera can take pics of pics on the walls!
+one of Cairngorms thrown in to fill the page.

:D :D :D
When we had German Shepherds and Labradors Charlie was very firm with them, however when he be came disabled with arthriitis we thought we should have a small dog. I think he thought she was too small to be firm with. The last week of his life I had to put her in kennels (she loves the young kennel maid) as she kept wanting to get on his lap. Anyhow I brought her home after two weeks and she ran round and round squeaking for him. For weeks after (she always comes in the car with me where ever I go) when we came home I had to open all the doors for her to look.
Lorna, what lovely pics to cherish.
Beautiful pics Lorna, Elsa must be a great comfort to you now :-*
Thanks for all comments about Elsa. Thanks to Andy H for sharing those lovely pics. Elsa is no trouble except if people come to the house and then she just stands and barks at them ALL the time, and if I am out front with her on the lead she will go potty at any person or dog passing. However, walk her a few yards up the road and she doesn't take any notice of humans or dogs!! TERRITORIAL HOUND!! She loves the grandchildren and any one she knew as a pup even if she hasn't seen them for months. Crazy animal,!! ::) Regards Lorna.
Now Ive gone all broooooody :o........... for a puppy that is! ;D
They are lovley photos and I'd be proud if they were my dogs too!
I had a Black Lab who was everything in the world to me, but now he's gone. :'(
Andy, have you got a scanner? Maxwell was pre digicam but I can put his piccies on here using my scanner. If you havent, then maybe someone you know could do them and email them back to you.
Lovely nostalgic photos Lorna :) Who is the little boy, a grandson perhaps :-\ I ask as he is the image of my grandson at about that age. Here is a framed photo I have of Paul at the top of his slide in the garden. See what you think. My Paul is now a strapping 17 year old ::) :)

Hi Gardengirl. Yes the youngster is Grandson Joshua, he is now 10yrs old and now lives next door to me(lovely) Have eight grandchildren five girls and three boys. Joshua was always very close to Grandad as his Mum was a one parent family and Grandad would go and pick them up when he was still able to drive and bring them to our home a couple of times a week. Sat was always spent with them taking them shopping and bringing them home for a meal. Then they moved nearer to us and he spent so much time with Grandad. When he was doing his school tests he said to Lorna (jnr) I was really struggling then Grandad came in my mind and helped me. Yes Gardengirl I can see a likeness. I am pleased that all is well in their little family now, Joshua is the only child. Thanks for your post. Lorna
A little update about Elsa. I noticed she was "pawing" her mouth a bit. Took her to the vet yesterday, she has a tooth loose. She is going in for the day Monday to have that one removed also having a blood test as the vet is concerned as to why the tooth has become loose. Anyhow I am HOPING that her insurance will pay the bill Approx.£150/£180. :( well they are going to clean her teeth as well for their money :)
Hey Wardy, has having his teeth cleaned made him have less horrid moods? (your previous post). When we bought Elsa 1999 six week old pup (her Mum had a problem so she was weaned early) the breeder was a really dedicated lady. She gave me a two page list of do's and dont's .ie. feeding, grooming, walking, TEETH CLEANING etc etc. I am afraid I have ignored the teeth cleaning. The tooth is not bad that's is why the vet is a bit concerned. I am sure she will be fine. Lorna
;D Nice clean teeth! Does walk around grinning now ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Thanks for sharing these doggy stories ! They always bring a tear to my eyes .... I adore doggies..
:D :)
Wardy.. Elsa is disgusted with me, she keeps going to the dining room door she knows her choc buttons are in there. I have cut her down fromabout ten a day to a couple. Even Grandson Joshua is not very happy as every time he comes round from next door he gives her a button and usually pinches one (or two) for himself. Elsa is a yappy dog but hasn't got a bite in her. Lorna.
i hate taking licksey (left) to the vets, the last time, she'd been out with my BF down to gringley while he bird watched, she ran about and swam in the river as usual, when she came home she kept running frantically low down to the ground, couldnt get comfy, legs thrashing about everywhere. took her to the vets and found out she'd got some sort of poisoning(slug pellets or something), had to spend night in hospital. very very scary, if we hadnt had taken her in so quickly, she wouldnt be here. I dont care that is cost me £130 so long as i've still got here, even though she can be a pain, jumping on my plots and things, i wouldnt be without here, even though shes a biggish dog, she still thinks she can be a lap dog!!!??!! but she is quite cosy and warm when she sprawls out on top of you
Well as we all know our dogs are another member of our families. Update on Elsa. The vet rang to say they had taken out SIX teeth and she had ulcers at the back of her mouth and on her tonsils.. Picked her up at 3.30pm, yesterday she was still very dopey. I just sat with her for rest of day. She rallied about 6.30pm vet said I could give her a small piece of boiled chicken (her usual feed). She ate her piece of chicken and looked at me "Where is the rest ?" She wouldn't settle, SO a thing I have never like doing I let her come on my bed at midnight. Bless.. she slept until 7am this morning. Have given her the pain killers and antibiotics. She still seems a bit dopey but doesn't seem in pain. Going back to vet Fri evening. I asked if her troubles were my fault.. ie. choc buttons and biscuits. They said no, dogs are just like people and sometimes they are unfortunate to have teeth trouble., bit worrying as she is only 5yrs old. I think she is lapping up the extra attention. Grandson (10) came round and just sat for ages stroking her gently, when he stopped she nudged him for more!! I know money doesn't come in to it but when you are on pension extra bills are sometimes a bit of a bind. That is why from eight weeks old I have always had insurance, just unfortunate they do not cover dental. However my vet said he will write to Insurance co as this was more than just dental. Never mind, she is on the mend. Hope haven't bored you all but I was very worried about her. Lorna
Not boring at all Lorna - so glad to hear that Elsa is on the mend.  I know how you felt, it's terrible when our pets are ill - as you say, they are another member of the family.  As for letting her sleep on your bed, she will probably expect it now ;D  - my two start off in their own beds, but usually end up pushing hub and I almost out of bed :o  Shouldn't really I know, but after all, they are not on this earth for long and I am afraid we are very soft with our pets :)
thanks wardy, what a little sweetie :)
it impossible not to spoil them. ;D
