It is Tim.  My baby is looking very pretty with it's little pompom flowers.  I never use it in cooking, bad for the heart apparently, and hearts break easily in our family.  :'(

I believe bay leaves are slightly narcotic but very OK to consume, especially with lamb ! ;D :D

 ;D Yes Mrs Frog, everything is very summer like.  Hearts cause a problem for our family, that is all, and when dad had his first heart attack bay was on a list of things to avoid.  I grow them though, but because they are such good evergreen trees, just never ever cook with them.

Well you live and learn, i use quite a lot of bay leaves in my cooking, in fact ive only just stocked up again this weekend, but OH has high BP, so perhaps i should stop using them  ???

Oh dear - that's another herb for the bin :'( .... along with the Paprika which is also getting a bad press at the moment :o
