Post by: Sprout on April 28, 2005, 10:32:54
3-4 red onions sliced
1/3 cup dry red wine
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon orange juice
1 tablespoon lemon juice

cppk onions, wine, vingear, sugar and honey over a medium heat, stirring constantly, under the sugar has dissolved. Simmer until mixture is the consistency of marmalade in about 30 minutes. Stir in orange and lemon juice. Allow to cool, stirring until juices are absorbed. Once cool, cover and refrigerate. Can keep in air tight container for 3-4 weeks in fridge. Serve at room temperature. Great with steaks, chops, hot-dogs, burgers, BBQs
