Title: Winter veg
Post by: westsussexlottie on April 27, 2005, 08:34:04
I am thinking of trying to grow rosette pak choi, broccoli raab and texsel greens for the winter.

Does anyone have any experience of growing these/any tips?

Is broccoli raab the same as Cima di Rape? (like a sprouting turnip thing?) I have recently sown some myself - under fleece.

Sarah.

Grew Pak Choi last year, but never ate one plant! The rotten slugs got em, oh and the flea beetle, so fleece is of the order!

Me too DP, everything likes Pak Choi >:( Even in the greenhouse I only managed to keep a couple of plants from the slugs.

I have ordered seeds of yukina savoy rosette pak choi as it looks more savoy like and harder? for bugs to eat? Has anyone tried this variety?
