Call that a garden! Looks like a postage stamp compared to mine ;D ;D ;D
Lovely bit of grass - glad I don't have to mow it :)
It's actually not my garden (shock!!) but a quite famous location - any ideas?
No idea Pete but it's definitely bigger than my garden!
Very nice !
;D
Not Chatsworth House is it Pete?
Dont worry, i chased Pete off my land ::)
I was going to say Chatsworth. It's that hill at the back which is suggestive of CH :)
No, you're all wrong - it's MY garden!

No, it's not Chatsworth House. It's a bit further north than that. If you look at the picture carefully there's an area cordoned off near the lake, possibly to keep souvenir hunters away!
Tell you what, here's the scene from another angle.

Oh go on Pete, name and shame ;D
I am dying to know where it is. :)
Glad to hear it wasnt Chatsworth, as one of Mums favourite places we spent so much time there as kids and she would have never forgiven me if i hadn't recognised it, but it didnt look familiar to me.

OK, I'll put you out of your misery. It's Lyme Park near Disley in Cheshire.

The area near the lake is where the famous scene from 'Pride and Prejudice' was filmed when Darcy bumped into Elizabeth after he'd been for a swim. I was ordered to take a photo of my wife stood on this spot as it's probably the closest she'll ever get to Colin Frith (which is just as well considering!!)
Ahhhh Lyme Park, i should have known, ive been there a fair few times too :-[
Nice pics Pete :)
That looks just like my house!
snap DD ;)
We can but dream Greenwiz! ;D

You can visit my humble abode if you like but let me know you're coming or I might release the hounds.

Never mind your house Pete, now i want to know about your avatar, is that the great MUFC?
It's Old Trafford yes but I'm afraid I wouldn't be seen dead there to watch Man Utd as I'm an Oldham fan. The pic was taken by my son at the England v Wales game. I think I'll change it.
lol, i thought i had spotted it ;D
Do you live in Oldham?

I did for 38 years but I now live in Lincoln. I make the pilgrimage back every fortnight to watch the 'Latics' and to make sure I don't lose my Lancashire accent - chuck!
