Hi,
I'm looking for a new allotment and I'm new to the Chesham area (Bucks). Could anyone tell me where the allotment sites around here are and any good contacts.
Thanks
Nell :)

I run a website for the Chesham Allotments and Sarah-b is on the committee which runs them:

ps I'd be happy to show you round my site - send me a pm and we can arrange something.
Hi there lewolf,
There are definitely plots available at Cameron Road (up the Newtown end of town)
The council allocate them - you have to choose a vacant one.
And we are very keen to get the plots fully occupied, so you would be very welcome.
There are also some non-council plots in the south of town - owned by the Duke of Bedfordshire - I can get you a contact number for there if you like - pm me. Although I hate to say this, the Duke's soil is much better than the council's, so if you are arond the Waterside area you may want to consider that (I know I would)
See you,
Sarah-b
Chesham- might have good allotments but a rubbish footie team!!

Ha ha nobbyman,
can't wind me up that way, i couldn't give a toss about football. And somehow I suspect moonbells feels the same way (am I right??)
How's the plot going Nobbyman?

Hi Sarah!!
Not bad!!
Got my spuds in, peas, broad beans and shallots!! bit worried it might be too wet and they all rot!!
Nobbs xx
P.S how is your plot?
I'm pleased with it so far - nothing has gone wrong yet. Although the carrots are taking so long to germinate - think that might be the first failure of the year. Broad beans look reasonable. Garlic looks great. So far so good.
Hope your stuff doesn't rot - it shouldn't do - those veggies are quite resilient.
See you,
Sarah.
