Hi All

Ive been mooching on this board for a few days and of course being a keen gardener, i just had to join and be part of your group as i am always wanting to learn that bit more and this seems a great place to do that  ;D

I love my garden and this last couple of years ive been trying my hand at a few veggies.  Last year i very sucessfully grew my first batch of pumpkins which i was very proud of.
This year i am going to have a bash for the first time at sprouts and sweetcorn.  I am working on the principle of something new to grow each year.

I love this site, its great, ive got so much to read now  ;D

Hi Honeybee - I reckon everyone must be out on the allotment or in the garden! So even though I'm a very new newbie myself, let me be the first to say welcome :)

I've been stuck at the kitchen table working all day, and looking longingly out at the garden.  Needless to say, now that I've finished the work, the good weather's gone  :(

Welcome Honeyee, it is a great site.  There is always someone who can give you an answer - and someone else who has a different answer!! ;D  that's what I like - no hard and fast rules just lots of people willing to share their own experiences.

Be warned tho - once you start growing veggies you will get hooked - on the difference in flavour alone...........

Thanks for all of your lovely welcomes, oh and dont worry about Maz, shes my mate and we joined here together, but i have to share her secret with you, she isnt happy unless she is showing her knickers.  ::)

She even gardens in that dress, what more can i say  ::) ::)

Roy nice to hear of your sanity, i might stick with you  ;D

Thanks for the welcome Tulip and by the way ive met the man in question, hes been giving me tips on the birds and the bees, whilst admitting he was partaking in too much of the red stuff  ::)  ;D

But ive got a soft spot for him already  ;D
