Checkout your local wilkinsons - I went yesterday and got blackcurrant, whitecurrant and redcurrant bushes for £1.25 each. I also got rhubarb and horseradish at 25% off.Don't know if they'll grow but I can't resist a bargain...
They also had 25m rolls of black weed suppressant stuff for £12.99 which seems fairly cheap
Thanks for letting us know. Always good to hear of a bargain.
I bought from Wilko, Raspberry, Blackcurrent, Strawberry and Rhubarb, less 25% but were of poor quality...GWYPF? (Get what you pay for?) ??? ??? ???
Mine had raspberries at 50p!!! and clematis, was one of those mile a minute ones, related closely to old mans beard, but at 50p and with a new garden horrible garage to hide, I gave in and parted with 50p. Left the poor raspberries on the shelf as they looked to have had it.
They have the plastic greenhouses at £19.99 also a bargain. And I got a great book on potatoes, lists most of the varieties, what they are good for and has loads of recipies. There are some for sweet potatoes too. Cost £3.99
oo-what size green house nan?
morrisons have some cheap fruit trees and onamental ones too.....they have also got some 4.99pond lilies-but be quick-they were shoving with their elbows to get to them today!

:) those 6x6 jobs, with one shelf. They are ok so long as you do not have high winds. Last year mine blew away and it was tied down, went three gardens over. All the wee seeds were sent willy nilly onto the floor and I had to start all over again :'( The cover lasted but was too tatty this year. I am using the shelf and some of the poles in this years greenhouse. Also plan to make a tom or now possibly melon house out of the rest and cover with plastic.
I put all the seeds and compost onto the garden and later had toms growing in the bordersLOL
I got a 5 metre polythene cloche from Wilkos for £5.99. Haven't used it yet so can't comment as to whether it's any good.
Aldi have seeper hose for I think £12 for 15 ft - lots cheaper that garden centres

This is a year out of date but I found a huge amount of tree fruit and soft fruit at Homebase one Thursday afternoon about this time last year and it was all so cheap that I bought as much as I could fit into the car. It has all grown really well. Mightl happen this year. Worth checking out?
Spent the saved money on a fruit cage! My excuse....
Hello Hills :)
They had dropped the polytunnels down to £4.99 at my local store. If they are any good I will be back for more. Wiilkinsons have been brilliant this year. :) busy_lizzie
