Great photo Eric and what a beautiful sparrer ;D :D :)
what a clever chicken, didn't know they could fly well enough to get that high!

Neither did we, until they disappeared after a vsit from the fox. Then we saw them fly down from the top branches of our Perry Pear, 60 feet up!
That is a class photo, absolutely brilliant.
Like Wardy,what breed,its a lovely looking bird?!
Well Palustris, it's a good thing they can, but 60ft, amazing. My Dad always kept chickens along with a cockerel but all they could do was frantically flutter up to maybe 4 or 5 feet.
Like Wardy and Heldi, I'd like to know the breed as one day I would love to have 2 or 3 chickens.

palustris..lovley foto-beautifulbird too!
i think she deserves a fat ball to herself that one!

Sorry. She is a Chamois Friesian and as a breed they are well known for their ability to fly.
She's beautiful.
I want chickens.
