Title: Germinating beet.
Post by: tim on April 20, 2005, 10:34:41
We spoke about this earlier. So here's the first.

BUT - had 2 lots side by side - labelled? - NO! So, had carefully put the first lot out at 2" spacing before I realised that they were Rainbow Chard - meant for another area - not Golden Beet!!

Lesson?

Hehehehe, your chard will be growing pretty thick this year.

Tim - damp kitchen roll? What temperature? Do you have to plant them root down?

(I had a good laugh at your muttering. I can just imagine!)

Yes. 'Indoors'. But be nippy - they anchor to the paper pretty quickly.

Don't know.

Worse to come. Went to put the 'chard' out today, in a permanent position - cleaned up a row, fertiliser, spaced the seeds out at 2-3",  tidied up. Lunch.
Yes - wrong position & wrong spacing. Can you believe it?? No prizes!!
