do shallots store once they've grown-and do you just string 'em up in a dry place to store(if they do)......how long can you store them for? :-\

Kitty I've very recently just finished using up all the shallots I harvested last year....as I don't have a shed or garage cos I live in a flat, I initially stored them in buckets in boot of my car but kept bringing bagfuls indoors and stored them under my sink in thick paper bags to use as needed. They stayed fresh and juicy and were wonderful.

I planted this years just yesterday but have only done one row, wish now I'd done two....wonder if it's possible to still get more from somewhere.....H.P.
