Title: Measure for Measure
Post by: Gardenantics on April 10, 2005, 10:45:24
Hi,

I bought a couple of old optics at a car boot sale, for 50p. each, these are spirit measures used in pubs to deliver a single measure of whiskey etc. The type I got are not the ones that fit into bottles hung upside down, they just push into the top of the bottle, and when you pour, it gives you 25ml. pauses for a couple of seconds, and delivers another 25ml. until you stand the bottle up again. I have found that they are great for measuring out a dose of Provado the vine weevil killer into pots. Make sure you label the old whiskey bottle, we wouldn't want any burglars to poison themselves whilst stealing our equipment! I suggest a label saying "For the Head Gardener only".

Hmm I could do with that sort of thing to attach to a bottle of comfrey liquid - so I could dilute it easier!
