Does anyone have any experience of growing chickpeas? I'm thinking of giving it a go....

I'm giving it a go this year too... I got them form Seeds of  Italy.  They are supposed to grow like dwarf beans...

Would love some advice too!  :)

Well, I grew them last year - quite pretty little plants and flowers. Got some pods as well, with one pea inside each! I let them dry then shelled them - didn't get round to eating though. Will have a look to see if I have any pictures....

though not tried myself, and also got no space this year. maybe next

interesting you mention the seeds from seeds of italy. i was looking for seeds for quite a while and couldnt find any (besides a bag of chickpeas from the supermarket shelf)

well, i have told a lie. i have tried myself, grew some in a flower pot last year to see what they looked like.
i meant i havent tried tham on a garden scale. :)
like multiveg said, very pretty flowers and mine had two to three peas per pot
