Title: Sunflowers
Post by: Borlotti on September 11, 2021, 13:46:11
House up for sale, gave up allotment, should have kept it during lockdown, but Morrisons free sunflower seeds did well and picking sweet peas every day. Next doors white flowering beans doing well and been told to pick the ones that have come my side of the fence. So fresh beans everyday. Dulcie still doing OK and doesnt want to move and next door wants us to stay. Hope everyone is OK on this site.

Good to hear from you, Borlotti, always like news of Dulce - must be a good age now? Remember to butter his paws when you move!

Lovely to hear from you Borlotti, I am glad Dulcie is still doing well :) I hope your house move all goes well when you get a buyer.  Love the sunflowers. Will you have a garden when you move?

Hopefully a 2 bedroom bungalow with a garden, lots of viewings but no offers yet. OH has made big cage for Dulcie and he loves it, put it in cupboard under stairs with door open so he wont be too scared when and if we move. Hope you all had a good growing season. I had to buy courgettes!!

Isle of Wight, but this has a happy house for over 35 years and lovely neighbours, but must start clearing stuff out.

Doing well on Isle of Wight. Had to have Dulcie put to sleep last year with kidney failure. No animals but watching rescue bears at Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, Sandown. Thank you for birthday wishes, 82 today. Not sure how to add picture of my wild flower garden.

Hope you have had a really nice day Borlotti, good to hear you are doing well! Sorry to hear about Dulcie. AforAll is very quiet these days, but I still look in most days even though the only gardening I can do now is to grow the tomatoes, corn, courgettes, chillies and beans from seed for my friend and helper John to plant out and take care of for me. We share the seedlings and he takes home the greater part of the harvest too. It gives me such pleasure to see my small garden still producing, I'm so lucky to have John's help - around the house too.
Cheers
Tricia  (still around, but not posting much)

Glad to hear you're OK, Borlotti, my Dulcie lookalike had to go last year, I make do with neighbour cats now. I'm down to tomatoes, asparagus and a few new potatoes in pots now, got to keep growing something!
