Title: Found at last- bamboo seeds
Post by: mark_h on April 06, 2005, 17:55:46
Hi all,
After a fair bit of searching I found a place which sells seeds for a couple of hardy types of Bamboo.

Here's the link: http://www.edirectory.co.uk/chilternseeds/pages/default.asp?mt=Category&senc=CBBXBIECBXBC

Scroll down the page and look for 'Phyllostachys'.   I bought some seeds last night and hopefully they'll be here in the next couple of days.

Are you an expert in growing bamboo. I keep buying seeds but they never seem to geminate, despite following the instructions to the letter.

Any advice please, would be most appreciated

Jim,
I am far from successful- I have managed to get only a few of my seeds to germinate-  more luck than judgement I suppose.   I am going to try that 1/2 vermiculite and sand mixture to see if that works.
