During one of our meet ups someone provided a delicious bowl of salad consisting of "korean wrapping lettuce" or so we were told and devilled eggs. The lettuce was large flattish sweet crisp leaves - rather like the outer leaves of the old fashioned Webbs Wonderful. Sadly been unable to find seeds and wondered where I could obtain them. BTW ALL the food provided by everyone attending was delicious.

Quick Google search suggests that Korean wraps are best made of Boston or Bibb lettuce, a butterhead type available in US, and possibly elsewhere.
I am growing chinese cabbage which is used to cook the outer leaves and us for coleslaw but the inside is very sweet and crisp, I suppose you could use that as wraps. Try it from a supermarket as they all sell it.
It was Galina who brought that and she put seeds in the seed swop. I sowed some yesterday and will want to save seeds so if you haven't been offered any seeds by then will aim to send you some.
Full Korean name is Dduk Seom Jeok Chuk Myeon

Galina I think that is the same as the one we buy here called Red Curl, AKA Korean Red Curl. I can get those seeds in the Us and sometimes in the Oriental supermaket
Forgot to put the picture on
I have pm'ed you yesterday morning lottie lou. Jeannine, there are several types, closely related but I guess many others could also be used for the purpose. Lettuce wraps are great summer food. And a great way to stretch all sorts of leftovers into a stylish lunch
Sorry Galina. No PM received. However you did post a link of a supplier on here
