I was having a search around the Web and came across this site for the weather forecast.
If it has been posted before I apologise but it seems quite accurate and has a good coverage of places

Hello all returned from Glasgow yesterday they have thick snow coverings on the tops, a real nip in the air here in yorkshire.
Just realised - it's a blackthorn winter!
Funny you should say that Tim. When I went to my veggie man on Friday to buy some apples I commented on how cold it was and he turned to the blackthorn bushes and said, when they are in bloom, it is freezing, give it a week, all the flowers will be gone, and the sun will come out!
