Last year I planted some spring cabbage in the poly and I was cropping greens at least once a week from xmas to Whitsun, only a few plants in a corner. This year I forgot to buy some seed after shaking the old packet to see what was in there and spilled them everywhere. This morning I found a new crop growing in the loose compost up on the bench and it looks like most of the old seed has germinated. I have put a few in the poly and I wondered if the small plants will carry on outside so I put a small row in. Nothing lost if they don't do as they would have been dumped anyway.
