HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE
Congratulations BN :icon_cheers: :icon_cheers: :icon_cheers:
Cheers all - it was taken in Tallin, Estonia at a Christmas market..
Cheers especially to daveyboi for organising.
Well done Nick a worthy winner.
...and thanks to the person who voted for my picture thus saving me the embarrassment of a "whitewash"
Congratulations Nick and thank you Daveyboi.
I just loved those crochet Christmas tree stars, Peanuts. So festive. We have a treasured handmade crochet apple on the tree that was a present from an A4A member, and also a miniature knitted sock and every year the youngest (who can knit) has to do a row for good luck. Love handmade ornaments.

That would be me, I voted for it because it said Christmas without any of the commercialised tat. Very clever, I liked it a lot.
Congrats BNick.
My two kittens have grown and now enjoy "hunting" home-made felt Xmas tree decs. After last year I gave up hanging breakables down low.
Sorry Tee Gee - nice composition but I loathe poinsettias.

Although I didn't vote for it myself I did think the entry was well thought out and I was surprised it only received one vote.
However that is probably down to the lower than usual number of people voting / taking part
Which reminds me Metanurb have you thought of a subject for the next competition which will probably be Feb/March time ?
Would "Water" be too vague as a subject?

Sounds good to me the more scope a subject has the more interesting the entries we get.

Good Choice!
Congrats Barriedalenick! And worthy charity too.
My crochet stars were hung on the big pine tree in our garden two years ago when I made a crochet star to go in each of our Christmas cards. I always make our cards, and hadn't quite worked out what the actual card might be. until we had the idea of hanging them on the pine tree one sunny November day, took a photo, and then stuck the printed photo on the front of each card! Quick to do at the end, although the stars were worked on for several months, lots of different ones to stop me getting bored.
Sadly the pine tree had to come down this December as it was getting too big and was too near the house, tin the windward side.
We've been in the UK for three weeks, visiting family, so having looked in at A4A.
A happy new year to you all, and happy gardening.
