Hi Ya,
        A Friend was given this house plant and for the life of me I can't remember the name. Can any one please help with identity. Thanks

Look like the leaves of a peace lily to me.

I think Obelixx is right, do the leaves all come separately out of the soil with a small brown sheath round each, then it's an aspidistra. I have 8 of these....they really are indestructible!

Hi , Thanks for the answers I will pass on the info. Good job they are hardy as the person I am helping has a name for mistreating house plants. Thanks again.
