Hi im new to this forum, thought id just ask if you can eat celariac leaves??? Ive just picked the celariac and it seems such a waste to throw the leaves away.

Might try some myself once I am less of a newbie.
TRy some!
I did for the very first time in my whole life ;D and its really delish :P
There has been lots of celeriac interest on this forum recently.
Debs :)
gunner - you've just picked it? You mean the last of it??
It normally comes in from September to March?
I only dug the last of mine a couple of weeks back. The young leaves from the centres I used in salads, the older chunkier leaves were used when I made veggie stocks and I used some tied together when making a chook soup and I whipped them out before serving. Love celeriac, a very handy winter veg which makes a delicious change to spuds!
I am most deffo a celeriac convert and was a celeriac virgin until a few
days ago when I tasted it for the first time:-
* Made celeriac chips ( fabaroony)
* Mashed with potatoes ( yumaroony)
Also got some seeds from Lishka, which I have planted and am eagerly awaiting germination.
Debs ( I love celeriac me!! ;D )
Tim, yes, ive just picked the last of them, sorry but im totally new to growing celariac, i brought some young plants from the local W.I and i thought they had done really badly when i picked them last year!!! DER!!! Left a few in the ground and had some nice ones although they had a few worms in residence!!!
